Well, I did it… I gained a whole new level of respect in my son’s eyes. He was on his snowmobile last week and attempted to go up and over a huge snow bank by our driveway. But he didn’t make it, and his baby was stuck.
“Mom,” he said, “can you get it? Pleeease!”
I put on my boots and went out to help. After a lot of pulling and pushing and shoveling I did it. I freed the snowmobile. All the while Ty is encouraging me with phrases like, ‘Wow Mom, I didn’t know you could lift that. Or ‘Mom, you’re getting it!’
Now all I had to do was get it started. Thankfully after 4 or 5 good pulls it sprang to life. Still facing upward Ty (the more experienced rider of the two of us) looked at me and said, ‘you’ve got to ride that off for me.’ So I sucked it up and gave it the gas.
The look on his face was priceless. He was so excited and so proud… of me.
I could be his superhero because of the time that I have spent working out. My body is stronger, and my endurance better because of some lifting and jogging.
So get to it… before you know it you’ll be someone’s superhero. Oh, and you’ll also be killing cancer.
