Okay, I have to say enough. Today is my family’s 8th snow day. One or two is fun, a chance to relax and recharge, but eight?! Come on people, I have work to do. But rather than grumble anymore I will focus on the positive. Like anything in life it really is about my attitiude.
It use to be that every time I had a bit a pain in my back I would think that it was the cancer attacking me. I would slow down and rethink that thought focusing instead on the fact that I had done something positive to cause pain like weight lifting or getting my bone strengthening medicine. My positive perspective changed everything and so I will take a minute and think about…
Our favorite things about snow days:
1. Sleeping in
2. The early morning phone call announcing no school
3. Doing nothing
4. Snowmobiling
5. Hot chocolate
6. Staying in pajamas all day
7. Sledding
8. The thought that tomorrow will not be a snow day
