Well, it’s almost time to set sail for the 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Wellness Cruise. Now if I can just accomplish everything that needs to be done before I go.
Every mom knows that in some ways it is just easier to stay home. My husband is a great guy and fantastic dad, but I still find myself trying to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible.
So…
I have shopped for groceries so that he will have easy food to prepare. (Please don’t order pizza every night!)
I have written a list of everyone’s activities for each day.
I have spoken with friends and made a few arrangements for rides and babysitting.
I have lunches ready to go for later the week.
I have begun plans for the trip we are all going on the day after I get home from this one.
Of course, my husband’s truck is in the shop so I may need to have my mom make a five hour trip to pick me up and deliver me to the airport so that he can have my van.
It’s crazy, but fun. While I’m sure that I am going to forget something, either for them or for me, we will be fine. And what a great adventure. Off we go!!!
