School’s Out for Summer!

Okay, okay, I know I have said it before but really, I will be faithful to you all.  Thanks for hanging in there with me.  I am still working out my format but here is what I am thinking about for the blog.  I want you to know what to expect so you can follow regularly and tell all your friends.

Monday Musings: general cancer related thoughts

Things to Know Tuesdays: relevant research or books for survivors

WOW Wednesdays: A short profile on AMAZING survivors (I will need lots of help for this!)

Thankful Thursdays: I think you all know what that is by now.

So school is out, summer is starting (although I am currently wearing a sweater and my husband”s sweatshirt), and I have a new computer that doesn’t beep randomly and shut down every three minutes.  All good I think so let’s get going!

Good to be back

Okay, so it is Thursday and I am at home. It has been a bit crazy lately, but in a good way. So I will give you a thankful list and PROMISE to get back to regular blogs.

Today I am thankful for this:
The trees are leafing out. Yea!! To me this means that the entire summer awaits, and I love summer.
I have been to some great places lately, Key West, Cozumel, and Colorado. I am thankful for the chance to see new places.
But ultimately I am thankful to be home.
How about you? What are you thankful for?

The fastest Thankful Thursday ever…

Maybe I’ll write more later, but for now here is the list.
I am thankful that today is my family’s last day of school before spring break. They are all SO ready.
I am thankful for some great work related opportunities.
I am thankful for health, it really is the key.
What are you thankful for?

Don’t Forget

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Thankful Thursday

So glad to be here this morning, it’s nice to take a minute to be thankful.

I’m thankful for fun ringtones. It makes me happy to hear the phone when it is “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz.  If you want to watch him sing it check this out.

I’m thankful for signs of spring. I just hope those little buds don’t freeze.

I’m thankful for the Wii and the Wii Fit. We finally broke down and bought one and I have to say that if we don’t burn calories doing the activities we will certainly enjoy the benefit of laughter as we watch each other hula hoop and walk the tightrope.

What are you thankful for?

Check it out!

Next Monday I will be interviewed on the Stupid Cancer Show.  I am looking forward to it.  You can check out the details here:

I’ll see you tomorrow, thankful thursdays will be back in it’s regular time spot.

Happy Monday

What are you doing this week for you? Working out, eating well, or maybe just carving out 5 minutes to stops and think for a minute. It all makes a difference.
I just returned from my first real walk since having surgery in early January. I can still feel the rather large screw, but since seeing the xray last week I know it is healing well so I can handle a little pain. I didn’t go very far, a little over a mile, but I’m glad I did it.
Do something good for yourself this week. You’ll be glad you did.

Happy Spring Day

It’s been too long, but soon I will be back at it regularly.  We are making some changes to the website which will make it a better place for all. At least that is the goal.  We are adding a better place for survivors as well as trying to use the site more effectively for marketing to meeting planners.

Things are going well, I can almost without a limp and I am back to working out a little bit.  The weather in Michigan has been amazing and I am enjoying every day.

What do you want to see on this site?  More of what? Less of what?  I need your input! Leave me a comment.

Every day I am Killing Cancer! Have a great day.

Thankful Thursday

Let’s see… I’ve been procrastinating long enough. Facebook is quite a time killer.  This is what I am thankful for today.

Sunshine. I might say it often, but I can never get enough. Especially this time of year.  Michigan is the best place on earth to live from the end of May until the end of October, but right now, well that is a different story.

We had a really fun italian dinner last week. Dressed up and everything.  I love spontaneous celebrations of daily life.

Sydney got the lead in her school’s play.  She is Belle from Beauty and the Beast.  I think she’ll do a great job.

What are you thankful for?

Thankful THURSDAY

Hello everyone, it is here again.
Many things to be thankful for, but here are my top three.
1. I got the okay to walk on my foot as tolerated. So of course I immediately went grocery shopping which was maybe a little ambitious. Oh well. Now I have to find all of my right shoes, as I haven’t worn them in six weeks.
2. Dinner has made a comeback since I am getting around a little better. Real meals anyone?
3. There are big happy clouds in the sky today.
